Donation of Supplies

The community is invited to donate any of the following for use in serving those less fortunate individuals in our community who have no insurance.

We accept:

  • New blood sugar machines
  • Test strips of all kinds which are not expired
  • Boxes of unused lancets and lancing devices
  • Boxes of insulin syringes
  • Insulin pump supplies
  • Electronics batteries
  • Boxes of alcohol pads

“My father recently passed away from diabetes. He had numerous syringes and test strips. I hated to think about throwing out these valuable supplies. ECDA was able to accept these supplies for their Needy program.”

Fundraising

The Erie County Diabetes Association relies heavily on community financial support. This support enables us to continue our mission and serve our community. There are many opportunities available for financial support. They include:

Memorial donations: These donations can be given in honor or in memory of individuals.

Bequests Individuals: can designate that ECDA be identified in a person’s will.

Monthly donors: Individuals can express their interest in donating on a regular basis. ECDA will send reminders to the donor.

Adopt A Charity: A community group or business can agree to do a fundraising event to benefit ECDA.

Gifts In Kind: Instead of a financial donation, the individual can donate handmade items, gift certificates, office supplies, refreshments etc. to be used for prizes and giveaways at fundraising events.

General Donations: These financial donations can be used for general operations or the individual can designate that the donation be used for a specific project, for example- the newsletter, nurse services, needy services, etc.
