ECDA receives $25,000 grant

On September 28th, the Erie Community Foundation awarded ECDA a $25,000 grant to implement a research-based, youth physical activity program called HOPSports. The HOPSports training system uses 21st century technology to educate, train and engage youth in more than 100 lesson plans focused on topics such as aerobics, baseball, basketball, cardio-kickboxing, circuit training, dance, football, golf, hockey, martial arts, soccer, swimming, tennis, volleyball and yoga- to name a few. ECDA plans to implement this program at the R.B. Wiley Charter and Wilson Middle Schools.

We are deeply grateful to the Erie Community Foundation donors, Board of Trustees, and staff for their roles in helping ECDA make this program available to youth in our community who need it the most.
